Got a bad review on your profile despite delivering the best service? Don’t worry. You can request feedback removal from Upwork team. But the condition is that you must be a top-rated or top-rated plus freelancer.
As per Upwork’s new policy, you can either remove a feedback from your JSS’s calculation or from both profile and JSS. When you remove it from profile and JSS, it will shown as “Feedback removed” to the profile visitors.
But removing your feedback will not necessarily improve your JSS. If the reduced JSS is due to the negative feedback, it will take 14 days to become normal. If the JSS remains the same after 14 days of feedback removal, there must be some other factors responsible for bad JSS.
Conditions For Feedback Removal Request
You can request feedback removal from Upwork team if you think the feedback is not accurate and is biased. However, there are some conditions set up by Upwork for the freelancers to request feedback removal. Take a look at these.
- The freelancer must be top-rated or top-rated plus.
- You can submit a feedback removal once every three months.
- You must have completed at least 10 contract before submitting a request.
- Removing feedback will not alter your star ratings in any way.
How To Recover Your Top-Rated Badge?
Lost your top-rated badge due to a decrease in JSS? Don’t worry. You can ask Upwork to remove the feedback within two weeks of badge removal. Add the screenshot of the email that you received after losing top-rated badge and send it to Upwork’s support team.
